MonsGeek M7 VIA DIY Kit
The M7 VIA barebone has a 68-key layout with arrow keys, making it functional and portable. Its compact design ensures high portability and saves desk space, catering to those who prefer a clutter-free workspace or need a small keyboard for on-the-go convenience.
South-facing PCB
The south-facing PCB of the M7 avoids causing interference with Cherry profile keycaps, offering more compatibility and flexibility.
Customizable RGB
M7 custom aluminum kit offers approximately 18 preset backlight modes, which allow users to adjust the brightness and flowing speed levels. Moreover, it supports a wide range of RGB effects, with over 16.8 million colors available. Users can also install an upcoming JSON file to access even more lighting effects and configurations.
New Silver Accent
Adding a touch of class and elegance, we opted to add a beautiful golden accent so that no matter which way you look at it, you’ll fall in love over and over again.
Plate-mounted & Screw-in Stabilizers
The M7 basic kit has stabilizers mounted on the plate to reduce keycap wobbling. It also includes additional stabilizers that can be mounted on the PCB or screwed in, giving users different options.
Stabilizers
PCB Mount/Screw-in stabilizers tend to vibrate less. M7 barebone uses Akko screw-in stabilizers (un-assembled) with nylon housing in case users want to lubricate.
N-Key Rollover
The N-Key Rollover technology allows all keys to work simultaneously and ensures every keystroke is recorded and prevents ghosting.
Engraved Back Design
M7 Aluminum Kit QMK version has adopted the new engraved back design with a re-sized sticker for aesthetics purposes.
PORON Plate Foam
M7 pre-built keyboard is equipped with PORON plate foam, effectively reducing the noise generated by key switches, ensuring a purer and more comfortable tactile sound experience for the keyboard.
Polycarbonate Plate
M7 utilizes a transparent PC plate to offer flexibility surpassing that of metal, while also reducing low-frequency resonance.
VIA Support
MonsGeek M7 supports VIA for cross-platform (Linux/Mac/Windows) advanced keyboard configuration.
This feature is exclusively for international version of M7.
Need More Foam?
Monsgeek has developed its own budget custom material that performs equally as well as poron. Meanwhile, MonsGeek M7 custom kit comes with an additional sponage case foam to reduce case ping.
*Disclaimer: Using thicker foam may reduce flex, whether to include it or not is down to your personal preference.
Accessories to Play With
Extra teflon pads included for users who wish to perform a force break mod.
Extra tape for users who wish to perform a tape mod.
MonsGeek includes a 3mm PORON foam for a balanced feeling. Disclaimer: the foam will affect the overall sound profile and flex.
