I chose the creamy purple switches in the ISO-DE variant and was very satisfied with the packaging, the amount of accessoires included and the quality of the keyboard itself. The keyboard sounds really nice right out of the box. The tactile switches also give a very satisfying feedback on every keystroke. I only was disappointed that the monsgeek/akko cloud version wasn't compatible with my keyboard. Apparently international versions aren't supported. This limited me in the amount of customization I could do on the keyboard software-wise. I am not too familiar with QMK, so I would have really liked to have a better customization software for people who don't want to create custom firmwares. I would have really liked to have more control of the backlighting, for example a custom gradient wave combined with a ripple effect activated by pressing any key.
Is very good, really happy of this keyboard
The keyboard is nice and solid. I replaced the switch with the silent penguin and you can barely hear the noise coming from the switches. I do not like the fact that to access the connectivity switch you have to remove one key. Also it is impossible to get it with an Italian layout. Probably I would have made it a few CMs bigger to accommodate larger arrow keys.
Overall everything was ok but there are 3 things that can be improved regarding the shopping experience:
- The was a promo when I placed the order but during the checkout it was not clear if it was applied or not to the order. I had to contact the support to verify that.
- It was impossible to use the chat support. There was no one available and I tried several times
- There was a prolonged outage to their system that did not allow me to check the order and retrieve the tracking number
Finally typing is fun again. Great sound and excellent writing experience. Prompt delivery without any problems. Always my pleasure. Fabulous quality thanks!
Ordered three ISO Akko boards in the Black Friday sales (this one, the 5075B Plus and 5108B Plus, latter went to a family member who has not used a mech board before). Used the 5075B Plus for a while (fan of the side RGB strips!) with some custom keycaps before swapping to the M1 V5 - sadly there's no comparison. It's a lovely feeling board. Feels very solid, good weight, easy to access to mod, and most importantly thocky with the Rosewood switches. It's a softer but somehow sturdier typing experience than the 5075B Plus (which, tbh, I quite enjoyed out of the box) and generally feels more premium e.g. the volume **** is more consistent in OS, I found the one on the 5075B Plus skips a fair amount.
No complaints other than it's a shame the RGB strips on the side of the 5075B Plus chassis didn't make it into the design somehow - and I prefer the function key indicator lights on the 5075B Plus versus the under-key lighting, but that's just personal taste/nitpicking.
Overall really happy with the M1 V5.
